Job Summary

The Application Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise software applications to ensure their availability, performance, and security. They collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, configure applications, and provide technical support to end-users.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Application Deployment and Configuration: Install, configure, and deploy enterprise applications according to business requirements and best practices.
  2. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  3. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to end-users, resolve application related issues, and deliver training sessions to enhance user proficiency and productivity.
  4. Security Management: Implement and enforce security measures to protect applications against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
  5. Patch Management: Apply software patches, updates, and upgrades to address vulnerabilities, enhance functionality, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  6. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to safeguard application data and facilitate disaster recovery in the event of system failures or disasters.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of application configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, and generate reports on application performance and incidents.
  8. Vendor Management: Liaise with application vendors and service providers to address technical issues, procure licenses, negotiate contracts, and stay updated on product updates and enhancements.
  9. Change Management: Coordinate application changes, upgrades, and enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations during implementation.
  10. Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure application compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies related to data security, privacy, and usage.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in application administration, and identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. - Experience in application administration, system administration, or a similar role. - Proficiency in administering enterprise software applications, such as ERP systems, CRM systems, or collaboration tools. - Strong technical skills in application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Knowledge of security principles and practices related to application security and access controls. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders and end users effectively. - Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining application integrity, availability, and performance.
