Main Duties and Responsibilites
- Understand and document existing business processes and workflows using tools like BPMN or flowcharts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
- Translate requirements into clear, actionable documentation such as BRDs, SRS, user stories, and use cases.
- Validate requirements with business users to ensure alignment with expectations and business goals.
- Support the design and development process by ensuring clear understanding of requirements.
- Manage requirement changes and maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support test planning, including test case development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Contribute to process improvement and development of standard templates and best practices.
Job Mission
The Business and Requirement Analyst plays a critical role in understanding and mapping business processes, and managing the full requirements engineering life cycle. This includes requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and change management. The analyst ensures that business needs are captured accurately and transformed into actionable solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Job Requirements
A strong understanding of business process modeling and the full requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and change management. The candidate should be able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and successful project outcomes.
Competency and Skills
- Proficiency in business process modeling (BPMN, UML).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with tools like Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, and Confluence.
- Skilled in writing BRDs, SRS, user stories, and use cases.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Educations/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are preferred.
