Job Summary
The Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s compensation and benefits programs. This role requires strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with HR and leadership to ensure competitive and fair compensate
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR Analysts and leadership to define and implement the organization's compensation philosophy and strategy.
- Implement guidelines for salary ranges, pay scales, bonuses, and performance-based incentives, considering market data, internal evaluations, and budget constraints.
- Partner with HR Analysts to evaluate jobs based on market data and internal structures.
- Conduct market analysis to understand industry benchmarks, salary trends, and competitive practices.
- Finalize job grading structures and review salary structures with input from leadership, ensuring internal equity, market competitiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of salary structures, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Communicate new salary structures to employees, managers, and stakeholders, providing training and guidance on implementation.
- Explain and communicate benefits and incentives policies and programs to all employees.
- Manage the administration of benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility verification, claims processing, and legal/regulatory compliance.
- Assess the organization's current benefits offerings, gather employee feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to monitor the effectiveness of the benefits package through data analysis and feedback.
- Design incentive structures, variable pay models, and performance-based bonuses to motivate employees towards high performance.
- Communicate performance-based compensation programs to employees, explaining how metrics are tied to compensation outcomes and providing guidance.
- Analyze market data, industry trends, and internal structures to determine appropriate salary adjustments and promotions based on performance and market trends.
- Collaborate with HR Coordinators to review performance evaluations, market data, and employee feedback to determine salary adjustments and promotions.
- Communicate salary adjustments, promotions, or review outcomes to HR Coordinators, department heads, supervisors, and employees, ensuring transparency.
- Coordinate the implementation of salary adjustments, promotions, or reviews, updating employee records and documentation.
- Partner with HR Coordinators to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of salary administration processes, gathering feedback and proposing improvements.
- Communicate changes in HR policies, procedures, and compensation and benefits directly to employees.
- Conduct regular reviews of compensation and benefits programs to ensure they meet objectives and make adjustments based on feedback and analysis.
- Review compensation and benefits practices for compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to implement programs that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Design competitive compensation packages and rewards systems to attract and retain top talent.
Job Requirements
- BA/MBA in Management or a related field with a minimum of 7/5 years of experience of which 2 years is focused in compensation and benefits.
- Strong understanding of compensation strategy, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and implement effective compensation and benefits solutions.
- Proficiency in using HR software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
