Job Summary
The HR Officer provides administrative and operational support to ensure smooth delivery of HR services across the organization. The role focuses on maintaining employee records, managing HR documentation, supporting payroll and attendance processes, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor regulations. The HR Officer acts as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee inquiries while contributing to efficient HR operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee personnel files, HR databases, and documentation.
- Prepare HR-related letters, contracts, memos, and other official communications.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave requests, and ensure accurate reporting for payroll processing.
- Provide administrative support in onboarding, orientation, and staff movement documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of confidential HR records and documents.
- Assist in the administration of benefits.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and entitlements.
- Support the performance appraisal process by tracking submissions and consolidating reports.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for HR meetings, training sessions, and events.
- Prepare routine HR reports and submit to management as required.
Job Requirements
- BA degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or administrative support.
- Strong knowledge of HR administration and Ethiopian labor laws.
- Excellent organizational and documentation management skills.
- HRIS Knowledge and experience
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
